In the last post, we introduced some top-rated 4K 60Hz HDMI 2.0 switches which can add more HDMI ports on your TV. Today we are going to introduce a device that has the opposite function, which is 4K HDMI 2.0 splitters, it allows us to split one UHD signal to multi 4K 60Hz TVs or monitors.
HDMI switch or HDMI splitter?
I have one Blu-ray player, one PS4 PRO, one Xbox or other HDMI devices, but 4K TV only has one HDMI input. You need an HDMI switcher to switch the input source to the TV.
If you want to split one HDMI signal to 2 or more TVs / monitors/ projectors simultaneously, what you need is an HDMI splitter.
If you have 4K 60 UHD TV and 1080p TV or monitor, HDMI 2.0 splitter also works with lower resolution displays separately.
HDMI 2.0 Splitter is backward compatible with V1.4 V1.3 V1.2, V1.1 and V1.0, allow to connect most HDMI devices such as PS4 Pro, Xbox One S /360, Roku 4, Apple TV, Set-Top-Box, Blu-ray player, Laptop/ PC and other devices to Samsung, TCL, Sony TV, display, projector, and A/V receivers and more.
Here we compared and listed some top-rated HDMI 2.0 Splitters on Amazon. Before purchasing it, please make sure your TV supports HDMI 2.0 HDR HDCP 2.2. For 4K 60Hz UHD content, and prepare the HDMI 2.0 HDR cable with a length of less than 16ft

How about HDMI 2.1 splitters? Can’t find them, but they reduce the likelihood of a bandwidth bottleneck for 4K HDR signals – especially on ethernet enabled cables. This is because of the 48gbps bandwidth – whereas HDMI 2.0 only supports 18gbps max – which is the minimum for a 4K HDR signal alone, and on some projector systems with sound bars that causes flickering and other artifacting. Any recommendations for an HDMI 2.1 splitter – I just need 1in to 2x out, nothing fancy. Thx!
So far, there is no reliable 2.1 splitter or switch on market, because the demand for source and display devices is not yet. The only solution is the HDMI 2.0a splitter now, such as this one on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2IZBpe7, also recommend the length of single enabled cable is less than 16ft. We will focus on HDMI 2.1 device and update here.
Excellent thank you for the quick, thorough and helpful reply! I’m seriously considering getting the 2.0a one you listed from Amazon here. Cheers – M
hi the link for the first splitter the sowtech seems to take you to an hdmi 1.4v splitter on the uk amazon. Can you please check it out ?
The seller may stop sell V 2.0 splitter now. So we need to update the product information regularly.
the links in this posts are all from US Amazon, even though it will automatically detect similiar products in UK Amazon, it may be not accurate. If you need 1X2 HDMI 2.0 Splitter, I just check one for you, link: https://amzn.to/2L8bBZz
