All external optical drives that use trays to load discs have a forced eject button in the hole next to the eject button.
If you can’t open the tray by pressing the eject button or clicking the optical drive icon, please use a toothpick or a paperclip to press the button in the forced ejection hole and get your disc back.
*This method is not suitable for slot-in optical drives.
Why the tray cannot be open?
Two possible reasons:
- Power shortage: The USB port on your computer or USB hub cannot supply enough power for the external optical drive, you can try a different USB port on your computer, or use a powered USB hub.
- Loose internal data interface: Please push the DVD Drive front panel (where you load the disc) to ensure better inner power contact.
If these two methods cannot solve the problem, you should contact the seller for further assistance.
